About RHS
Rob Hamilton-Smith is a photographer, mountain biker and skier based in Verbier, Switzerland.
Photography started as a dream as a child. To be a photographer for National Geographic was a pipedream. A GCSE in photography at 17 inspired but further study was forbid by the powers of education. Nine years later and a succesful career in IT it had to change to something he loved.
Rob decided to give everything up in the uk and travel around europe following his two passions: Biking and Photography. The dream job came up, a mountain Bike guide in the alpine heaven of Verbier, Switzerland. 2 Years later and a strong portfolio Rob is striving forward with a unique style of photography.
Due to Rob's strong skills in the sports he shoots he has a real understanding of the dynamics, riders eye and methodology that creates powerful and emotive images. Not so much of an action sports photographer but more of a photographer, a biker, a skier and a lover of the natural environment we all share.
Take a browse at the various portfolio's and enjoy.
